Who doesn’t love saving money? I know I do! I’m one of those people that will use a coupon on a $4 item at Hobby Lobby…every penny counts, am I right?

In case you missed it last month, I’m going on the Keeping It Real Tour again this year (you can read more about it by clicking here). February’s theme is Budget Friendly! So keeping that in mind, I’ve gathered up these 5 Budget Friendly Dinner Ideas from recipes on my blog for you to add to your menu plan soon. These are all tried and true family favorites!

Easy Open-Faced Pizza Sloppy Joes

I’ve been making these Easy Open-Faced Pizza Sloppy Joes for over a decade. A friend shared the recipe with me years ago and it was an instant hit with my family. It can be ready in under 30 minutes so it’s a super easy choice for busy nights. Sometimes I will make up a double batch so that I can keep extras in the freezer to thaw, heat and eat on busy nights. Tip: freeze them in muffin cups then pop out and store your “cups” in a ziptop bag in the freezer so you can pull out just what you need to heat and eat! Take advantage of when ground beef is on sale for this recipe!

Simple Open-Faced Pizza Sloppy Joes (Make-ahead too!)

These Simple Open-Faced Pizza Sloppy Joes come together quickly and easily even on the busiest of nights! Make a double batch to keep some in the freezer for any time!

Tuna Rollups with Creamy Mushroom Gravy

As a child, I loved these Tuna Rollups with Creamy Mushroom Gravy. My mom used to make it and even though it’s super simple, it tastes great and is actually one of my family’s favorites. Since this recipe uses only a few ingredients, most of which you probably already have on hand, it’s a great budget-friendly option. I think the most expensive ingredient is the tuna at only about two dollar per can or pouch! It’s so quick and easy too!

Super Simple Tomato Basil Topped Baked Fish

Believe it or not, you can make a budget friendly meal using fish! Look for sales and choose a white fish that is most appealing to your family’s taste and budget. This Super Simple Tomato Basil Topped Baked Fish is a cinch to make up too…it literally takes about 20 minutes!

Beef and Bean Burrito

I’ve been enjoying this Beef and Bean Burrito recipe practically my whole life! My mom used to make these growing up and now my family loves them too! I’ve jazzed them up just a bit but they really are super simple and if you find ground beef on sale, that’s even better. In my part of the country, avocados are pretty cheap, especially at stores like Aldi or Sprouts. But if they’re more expensive where you are you can either leave them out or factor that extra cost into your budget.

Peachy Ground Turkey Meatballs

I have been making these Peachy Ground Turkey Meatballs for over two decades! I first came across this recipe when we were newly married and I liked how easy and budget friendly it is. I often find ground turkey 25% off at my local grocery store so look for those sales! Even when not on sale, it is budget friendly as there are only a few ingredients. One of my family’s favorites for sure!
